Neverest is really run by the dogs, hence our NAME!!! The dogs get to rest but us people of Neverest, well we seem like we are always going somewhere!
Here, I’ll tell you a little about the people whose job it is to make sure the dogs have all they need!!
Neverest Labs is run by myself, Desirae and my husband, Mike (although he will say its my thing!! :) It is not a hobby or money making opportunity for us, it is a PASSION. I love dogs, or in general all animals. If you've ever been to our house you'd know that the moment you drove in the driveway. You are immediately surrounded by animals. And I wouldn't have it any other way! A little info on us: Mike is a Maintenance Mechanic at the Wal-Mart distribution center in Fox Lake (although if you know him, you'd know that cycles are his PASSION). His hard work at his job and his dedication and work at home allow me time to do what I love: work around the animals. I am a stay at home mom to three very wonderful boys, Nathan, almost 10 years old and Zach, 8 years old, and Caleb, who is 6 years old and our new little girl, Ashlynn who was just born in January! If you've met them you'd know that they got mom's love for animals. Nathan when he started full days of school, said that he couldn’t go because if there were pups being born who would help mom! If there are puppies being born, Nathan is right there handing mom whatever she needs. Zach is just in love with the kitties and smaller puppies. He loves something the size that he can pick up and cuddle with, so the Ragdolls are great for him. He carries them all over and lays down on the couch and just cuddles with them. He likes to do that with the smaller puppies too! Many of you that have seen the webcam have probably seen Zach go in the whelping box and cuddle up with all the pups! Caleb has taken over for Zach and Nathan both when they are away at school all day and all of them fight over which dogs are theirs!!! When it comes to the work of the dogs, they know and understand that its all about teamwork and things go smoother if we all help out. While I’m out working with the dogs in the yard, the kids all help out. They all volunteered for chores to help out with the dogs. Nathan feeds all the animals, Zach picks up poop and Caleb checks on everyone’s food and water. There is nothing better than knowing you are passing your passion and love for animals on to your children as well as responsibility and good work ethic! They put as much love into the pups as we do and its great to see them jump up to count pups when we hear one screaming! They are great puppy helpers!
