OCCUPAWS: Since we donated two pups to this organization last year, I’ve gotten to meet many of the people who make this organization work. I have to say that its just amazing what they do and I’m proud to know them all and even happier that we can help them out by donating pups to their great cause! We are thrilled that our first puppy donated to them will be gradutating with her new partner on the 7th of September. We can’t wait for the new pups to hear how they are doing. Here are some photos and the note from the president of Occupaws! Thanks for letting me share! Good morning! I thought you’d like to see these photos of Promise. She is doing GREAT! Doug said that this dog must have been a guide dog in a past life. She only has 15 workouts on her and she already did her first workout with the trainer under blindfold. She is checking curbs and is showing nice clearances already! Doug said that this is the easiest dog he has trained for guide work yet. This is the type of dog we are looking for. This is the type of dog that should be in our breeding program. These are all WONDERFUL complement coming from a veteran guide dog trainer. I’m so excited to see how little Lori will turn out. She is a fabulous puppy!!! THANK YOU!!!!!!!
Neverest Labs is home to Labs that are family pets, personal hunting companions as well as conformation/hunt test dogs. We believe to compete is to see what you are breeding. We strive to breed dogs that maintain good health, breed conformation and yet don't loose their hunting drive and great temperament. Our goal is to place our pet puppies in homes where they will be companions first and foremost. Our hope is to provide long lasting family companions and hunting buddies. To ensure this our puppies are raised in our home and not kept in kennels, we also usually only breed less than 6 litters a year so that we have the time to work with and well socialize each litter. Our puppies are raised underfoot and used to most household noises. We are also working towards producing a true dual purpose Labrador. One that has the great classic looks, laid back, mellow temperament in the family environment and yet has unbelievable drive and desire in the field environment. Because our dogs are in the house with us and because we compete/hunt with them, we can honestly tell where our breeding program is going and can fine tune each breeding to continuously strive to make it better We also pride ourselves in the puppies we produce for pet homes. It is the temperament above all else that has made the lab the most sought breed of dog. We love to stay in contact with our companion puppies and hear what their owners have to say. This tells us how we are doing in the temperament area which to us means more than all the show and field titles ever will!
